For most of history, intelligence was a single number — and that number decided everything. Howard Gardner spent his career proving otherwise. In 1983 he identified eight distinct intelligences: linguistic, logical, musical, spatial, kinesthetic, interpersonal, intrapersonal, naturalist.
Every person carries a unique combination of all eight. School measured the same two.
